SU leads Work Package 10 (Environmental and Circular Business Modelling) and Work Packages 12 and 13 (Exploitation and Communication), delivering key reports on environmental impacts, dissemination, and data management. The Applied Photochemistry Group at SU brings extensive experience in lifecycle analysis and circular economy research for energy technologies.

Moreover, in the APOLLO project, SU will:

  • Conduct a Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) using SimaPro to quantify the environmental impacts of materials and processes.

  • Ensure APOLLO devices are designed with end-of-life (EoL) considerations and circular economy principles in mind.

  • Carry out a tear-down analysis of existing PV modules and evaluate remanufacturing strategies.
