Meet Roland Kunert
Meet Roland Kunert, our esteemed Project Coordinator for the APOLLO project.
Roland Kunert is a distinguished professional with a rich background in academia and industry. Holding a PhD from TU Berlin with a specialization in quantum dots formation, Roland embarked on a journey into the renewable energy sector, particularly focusing on silicon photovoltaics (PV).
With over 15 years of extensive experience in project management, Roland's journey began as a project leader in a PV fabrication facility, where he honed his skills and expertise. His transition to Fraunhofer further augmented his repertoire, allowing him to contribute significantly to both industry and research endeavors.
Roland's adeptness spans across various project scales, ranging from small bilateral collaborations to larger initiatives funded by federal state, government, and EU projects involving numerous partners. Presently, Roland holds the position of project manager and research officer at Fraunhofer ISE, Europe's largest solar research institute, solidifying his position as a seasoned professional in the field.
His leadership and dedication serve as the driving force behind our endeavor, instilling confidence in the team and fostering a vision of sustainable progress in a landscape of photovoltaic module recovery and recycling.
