Introducing APOLLO consortium member - EDP NEW.

The EDP NEW, a subsidiary of the EDP Group, is dedicated to fostering innovation through collaborative research and development within the energy sector. With an unwavering commitment to R&D, EDP NEW places a significant emphasis on technology demonstration projects. It actively engages in a variety of areas, notably smart energy systems, smart cities and buildings, renewable energy technologies, storage and flexibility, and digitalization. EDP NEW has made substantial contributions to several EU H2020 and Horizon Europe projects across the entire energy value chain. It adopts an integrated and sustainable approach, aiming to develop disruptive solutions that not only empower its partners but also generate value for its shareholders. 

In the APOLLO project, EDP will:

  • Perform Life Cycle Assessment Analysis and Life Cycle Cost Analysis on the technical developments of the project 

  • Develop and quantify new Circular Business Models 

  • Provide data on EOL modules and PV parks to help develop and implement a digital product passport and an online marketplace 

  • Promote awareness of the APOLLO project through existing communication channels with stakeholders
