The École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne

Introducing APOLLO consortium member - EPFL - The École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne.

EPFL is one of Switzerland’s two Federal Universities, located in Lausanne (Switzerland), which welcomes students, professors and collaborators of more than 120 nationalities. It has both a Swiss and an international vocation, and it focuses on three missions: teaching, research and innovation.

The Photovoltaics-Laboratory (PV-Lab) of EPFL, founded in 1984, covers a broad spectrum from fundamental research to industrial technology transfer. It has pioneered fabrication and processing routines for various types of solar cells such as thin film silicon cells, heterojunctions, and silicon-perovskite tandem devices.

In the APOLLO project, EPFL PV-lab contributes to the qualifying of recycled materials for solar cell fabrication.
